Medium voltage installations

For buildings and sites with their own medium-voltage connection, we provide the installation and associated technical infrastructure, in consultation with your distribution network operator and the parties involved.

Carefully planned from the start

Specialist work tailored to your site

Medium voltage is used for connections at certain businesses and industrial sites. A dedicated substation and its associated distribution form part of a wider technical system with clearly defined responsibilities. This is not a standard residential installation. The work requires project-specific coordination of the connection, infrastructure, access and transition to low voltage. Technical choices are based on the situation and the requirements of the parties involved.

  • One partner for medium and low voltage
  • Coordination with all parties involved
  • Clear scheduling

What makes the difference

The substation, switchgear room and site must be considered together

A new business connection, a change in power demand or modernisation may prompt a review of the medium-voltage infrastructure. Alongside the electrical installation, accessibility, space, existing structural provisions and cable routes are relevant. We discuss what Electra Future will undertake within the project and which studies, checks or specialist work will be carried out by other parties involved. A photo of closed equipment does not prove compliance or suitability.

The work involved

What we can do for you

  • Discuss the defined installation requirements and existing information.
  • Coordinate the work with the grid operator and project partners.
  • Install medium-voltage infrastructure within the agreed scope.
  • Integrate the transition to low-voltage distribution.
  • Coordinate associated cable routes and technical provisions.
  • Prepare extensions or modernisation of existing infrastructure.

Initial consultation · design · installation · follow-up

From initial enquiry to follow-up

We start with the connection details, available studies and your intended business development. We then define responsibilities and technical requirements with the parties involved. Only then can the quotation be sufficiently specific. Implementation, access and shutdown periods are coordinated in advance. Before commissioning, we follow the agreed inspection and handover procedure. Subsequent follow-up depends on the installation, management arrangements and the specific scope of work.

What helps us prepare a tailored quote?

Provide information about the connection, existing substation, diagrams, available studies and the site plan. Include the project contact person, expected changes, schedule and any known requirements from the grid operator. We discuss missing information first; we do not provide a definitive technical solution based solely on a brief enquiry.
